“My mom couldn’t manage us kids very well, and we didn’t have much money to survive. I didn’t want to have to be a prostitute or street kid to survive.
“I AM ZAMBIA completely changed my life when they offered me a chance for an education. I learned basic computer and life skills. I was very happy to get greater hope for my life and future. Now as a graduate of the University of Zambia, I have a degree and a job. I am a kindergarten teacher. I help others to know there is hope through education.”

Throughout Zambia, girls face enormous hardship simply due to being female and young. In addition to poverty and disease, they are often denied education and are subject to trafficking, exploitation, child marriage, and early motherhood.
